Web Analytics for Canada Ingenium Museum

The goal of our team research was worked with the Canada Ingenium Museum to assit them to reach their objective of improving their analytics usage. Ingenium, formerly the National Museum of Science and Technology, is a corporation in charge of Canada’s Museums of Science and Innovation, including the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum, the Canada Aviation and Space Museum, and the Canada Science and Technology Museum. The project incorporated data gathering, data analysis, and visualization. We focused on 4 key areas of research: Demographic information, Internal stakeholders, Assessment of Google Analytics platform, and Building an interactive dashboard. Our final report aimed to offer valuable findings and practical recommendations to help with Ingenium’s future content strategy. We created two dashboards: a demographic dashboard and an internal stakeholder dashboard which split into our main sections: Reach, Engagement, Events, and Campaigns on the Google Data Studio.

The data we collected is reflective of audience behavior and pages performance. It allows us to draw conclusions in regards to understanding the audience's identification and behavior. We also point out potential room for improvement and future directions for web development. The Ingenium Website Analytics Final Report illustrates the methodology, findings, insights, and recommendations that were presented to the Canada Ingenium Museum Chief Data Officer, Web Development team members, and Data Governance member.
